Diagnostic Test

CHECK IF THE DTC IS ACTIVE

With the scan tool, read Electric Vehicle Control Unit (EVCU) DTCs.
Is the status for this DTC Active?

Yes
- This DTC is an informational DTC that sets if the EVCU receives a message over the Can Bus stating that the contactors in the Battery Pack are open when they should be closed. A diagnostic code will be set in the Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM).
- Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT (EVCU) MODULE - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 500 - ELECTRIC and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
