Module, Electronic Shifter (ESM): Installation: Installation

  1. Install the electronic shifter module (ESM) (2).
  2. Connect the two ESM electrical connectors (1).

  3. Install the two center console bolts (2), and the two center console screws (1).
  4. Connect the floor console 12-volt outlet electrical connector.

  5. Install and tighten the two front floor console nuts (1) to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.), and install the cup holder insert.

  6. Install the two front floor console screws (1).

  7. Install the two floor console vent panels, and the two floor console vent panel screws (1).

  8. Install and tighten the rear floor console nut (1) to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.), and install the rear cup holder insert.

  9. Connect the three electrical connectors (1).

  10. Install the electronic shifter switch bezel.
  11. Connect the negative 12-volt battery cable. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
