Hub And Bearing: Installation: Installation

- Slide the hub and bearing (4) onto the spindle (5).
- Install a washer (2) and a NEW hub nut (1) on the spindle. Tighten the nut to 280 N.m (207 ft. lbs.).
- Install the brake rotor (3) and caliper assembly (6). Install and tighten the caliper adapter mounting bolts (7) to 57 N.m (42 ft. lbs.). Refer to ROTOR, BRAKE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the hub and bearing dust cap (2).
- Install rotor mounting pins (1) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).
- Install tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Pump the brake pedal several times to ensure the vehicle has a firm brake pedal before moving the vehicle.
