Cylinder, Clutch Master: Installation: Installation

  1. Install the pedal assembly to the vehicle, tighten the mounting nuts to 16 N.m (12 lb. ft.).
  2. Connect the brake pedal to the brake master cylinder push rod.

  3. Connect the clutch start (1) and brake lamp switches (2).

  4. Install the instrument panel reinforcement. Refer to PANEL, INSTRUMENT, INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the supply hose to the brake master cylinder crimp the new  hose clamp with Crimping Pliers (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp).

  6. Install the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
  7. Raise the vehicle.
  8. Connect the high pressure line to the master cylinder.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Bleed the clutch hydraulic circuit. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
