Relay, Horn: Removal: Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  1. Perform the 12-Volt Power Down procedure. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the cover from the Power Distribution Center (PDC) (1) located on the left side of the engine compartment outboard of the battery.
  3. Refer to the fuse and relay layout map on the underside of the PDC cover for horn relay identification and cavity location.
  4. Remove the horn relay by grasping it firmly and pulling it straight out from the cavity within the PDC.
