Standard equipment in all Instrument Clusters (IC) (also known as the Instrument Panel Cluster/IPC), the analog tachometer scale is located just inside the upper inner radius of the speedometer scale of the IC. The tachometer consists of a movable gauge needle or pointer controlled by the IC electronic circuitry through an electronic stepper motor, and a fixed 185 degree scale within the IC that reads left-to-right from 0 to 8 .
