Disc, Clutch: Removal: Manual

Remove the transmission. Refer to REMOVAL .

NOTE:
Typical installation of 10272 shown.
Install the (special tool #10272, Tool, Flywheel Locking).
NOTE:
It may be necessary to install an appropriate length 10 MM bolt, washer and nut in place of the supplied 12 MM fastener.
Prior to removal, mark the position of the pressure plate to the flywheel with paint or scribe line for assembly reference.
Loosen pressure plate bolts (1) evenly, a few threads at a time and in a diagonal pattern to prevent warping the plate.
While holding the clutch and disc against the flywheel, remove the bolts (1) holding the pressure plate to the flywheel.
While securely holding the disc to the clutch plate, separate the clutch from the flywheel.
