Shaft, Output, 2ND, 4TH, 5TH, And Reverse: Disassembly: Disassembly

NOTE:

The thread on the retention bolt is left handed. Do not reuse the bolt.

Remove the bolt (1). Discard the bolt.

Remove the rear bearing and reverse gear (1) from the shaft using (special tool #8254, Installer, Grommet) (2) and Bearing/Gear Splitter (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) (3).

Remove the fifth gear and synchronizer hub (1) from the output shaft (2) using (special tool #8254, Installer, Grommet) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) (4)

Remove the fifth gear needle bearing (1).

Remove the second/forth gear synchronizer, hub and retainer (1) using (special tool #8254, Installer, Grommet) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) (3).

Remove the second/forth gear needle bearing (1).
