Lever, Parking Brake: Installation: Installation

1. Place the parking brake lever (6) on the floor pan and install mounting bolts (2). Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the rear parking brake cables into the equalizer (3) on the parking brake lever output cable.
3. Connect the wiring harness connector (2) to the parking brake switch (6).
4. Perform parking brake adjustment procedure. Refer to PARKING BRAKE, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
5. Install the center floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, INSTALLATION .
6. Remove the blocks from the tires and wheel assemblies.
7. Connect the battery negative cable to its post on the battery.
