Bezel, Shifter: Removal: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Unfasten the button (1).
Release the hook and loop fastener (4).
With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the retainers securing the shifter bezel (3) to the floor console (2).

Disconnect the shifter bezel wiring connector (2), if so equipped.
Raise the shifter bezel (1) over the shifter handle.
Remove the shifter bezel (1) from the vehicle.
