Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the front seats. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
Remove the floor console (1). Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL .

Remove the lower B-pillar trims (1). Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, LOWER, REMOVAL .
Remove the cowl trim side panels. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL .
Remove rear door scuff plates. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, REAR DOOR SILL, REMOVAL .

Position the rear seat backs in the full forward position.
With the use of trim remover (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, remove the push pin fasteners (2) from the carpet trim panel (1).
Remove the carpet trim panel (1).
Repeat on the opposite side.

Remove the intermediate load platform cover (1) from the rear seat riser (2).
Remove the intermediate load platform cover (1) from the vehicle.

Remove the pushpin fasteners (2) located between the hinges of rear seats (1).

Release the rear portion (2 and 3) from the seat riser.
Remove the rear carpet (1) from the vehicle.
