Panel, Cowl Trim, Side: Removal: Removal

Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel. Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, LOWER, REMOVAL .
With the use of (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, remove the retainer (1) from the rear of the cowl trim side panel (2).

NOTE:
Hood release handle is on driver side only.
With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the hood release handle (1).

Remove the fastener (2) from the cowl trim side panel (1).

Partially remove the door opening weatherstrip (2) along the cowl trim side panel (1).
With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the inner retainers of the cowl trim side panel (1).
Remove the cowl trim side panel (1) from the vehicle.
