Theory Of Operation

The Rear Window Defogger switch is a momentary switch integral to the HVAC Control Unit. The Body Control Module (BCM) receives an input voltage from the Rear Window Defogger switch. The BCM monitors the HVAC Control Unit voltage and controls the rear window defogger function based on the switch input. For additional information on Rear Window Defogger operation.
