Differential, Transaxle: Disassembly: Disassembly

NOTE:

This procedure will require the removal of the bearing cage and rollers. New bearings must be used upon reassembly.

  1. Using (special tool #C-293-PA, Puller, Press) (1), (special tool #8353, Blocks, Adapter) (2), and (special tool #9676, Adapter Plug) (3) remove the pinion side differential bearing.

  2. Using (special tool #C-293-PA, Puller, Press) (1), (special tool #8353, Blocks, Adapter) (2), and (special tool #9676, Adapter Plug), remove the ring gear side differential bearing.
  3. Remove the ring gear bolts.
  4. Remove the ring gear.
