Section 7 (Audio/Video/Entertainment/Connectivity (Service Information) 500 - Electric): Amplifier: Removal: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the 12-volt negative battery cable.
- Power down the high-voltage system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the amplifier trim cover (1) from the amplifier mounting bracket (2).
- Remove the amplifier (3) to mounting bracket (4) retainers (1).
- Disconnect the amplifier electrical connectors (2).
- Remove the amplifier from the vehicle (3).
