Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
4. Wait 10 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension. Repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
VERIFY THE BCM IS INSTALLED IN THE CORRECT VEHICLE
1. With the scan tool, read the VIN in BCM.
2. Compare the VIN in the BCM and LBSS to the vehicle.
  Do the VINs match?
  
  Yes
  - Perform a proxi-configuration. If the code still sets, replace the Left Blind Spot Sensor (LBSS)
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Replace BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
