The Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) detects battery module temperature above a calibrated threshold. The EVS lamp illuminates and vehicle power is limited when a first lower temperature threshold is reached. When a second higher temperature threshold is exceeded, the EVS lamp is illuminated and vehicle power is reduced to LIMP mode.
