Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC P1E25-00 HYBRID/EV BATTERY FAILURE LEVEL 2
1. Turn the ignition on. Wait one minute.
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Is the status Active for DTC P1E25-00 HYBRID/EV BATTERY FAILURE LEVEL 2 and also this DTC?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Go To 2
BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE ACTIVE DTCs
1. Verify that no other DTCs are set in the Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) other than this DTC.
  Are any other DTCs set in the BPCM?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the diagnostic procedure for those DTCs before continuing. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  - Perform the BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE (BPCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Replace the High Voltage Battery Pack in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to BATTERY, HIGH-VOLTAGE, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE (BPCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
CHECK THE AIR ELECTRIC HEATER (AEH) OPERATION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase BPCM DTCs.
2. Put vehicle in READY mode.
3. Set HVAC temperature to HI.
4. Adjust the HVAC blower speed to maximum.
5. Switch the A/C ON.
6. Let the vehicle sit for 30 minutes in this state.
7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Did DTC P1A21-00 HV BATTERY CONTACTOR CONTROL SEQUENCE INCORRECT and DTC P1E25-00 HYBRID/EV BATTERY FAILURE LEVEL 2 both set as Active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Air Electric Heater (AEH) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to HEATER, AIR ELECTRIC (AEH), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE (BPCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the high voltage wiring and connections between the Air Electric Heater (AEH) and the High Voltage Battery Pack (HVBP).
  - If no problems are found in the high voltage wiring, release the vehicle back to the customer.
  - If this is the second time that this vehicle has been serviced for this concern, replace the High Voltage Battery Pack in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to BATTERY, HIGH-VOLTAGE, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE (BPCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
