The Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) detects the difference between a single cell voltage and the average cell voltage has exceeded a calibrated voltage deviation threshold or a cell voltage balancing differential threshold has been exceeded. EVS lamp is illuminated but vehicle operation is not affected.
