Diagnostic Test

- CHECK TO SEE IF DTC P1CB6 IS CURRENT
- CHECK THE (F593) PPV-1 (ENGAGE VALVE 1) SOLENOID FEED CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
- Disconnect the TCM C2 harness connector.
- Disconnect the Electrohydraulic control unit C2 harness connector.
- Check the (F593) PPV-1 (Engage Valve 1) feed circuit for a short to voltage.
Was a short to voltage in the (F593) PPV-1 (Engage Valve 1) feed circuit found?
Yes
- Repair the (F593) PPV-1 (Engage Valve 1) feed circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the C635 DDCT TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (T493) PPV-1 (ENGAGE VALVE) SOLENOID RETURN CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Check the (T493) PPV-S (Engage Valve 1) return circuit for a short to voltage.
Was a short to voltage in the (T493) PPV-S (Engage Valve 1) return circuit found?
Yes
- Repair the (T493) PPV-S (Engage Valve 1) return circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the C635 DDCT TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Go To 4
- Check the (T493) PPV-S (Engage Valve 1) return circuit for a short to voltage.
- CHECK THE PPV-1 (ENGAGE VALVE 1) SOLENOID
- Measure the resistance of the PPV-1 (Engage Valve 1) solenoid
Is the resistance between 2.9 and 3.5 Ohms?
Yes
- Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCM in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the C635 DDCT VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace the PPV-1 (Engage Valve 1) solenoid in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the C635 DDCT VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Measure the resistance of the PPV-1 (Engage Valve 1) solenoid
- CHECK THE WIRING AND CONNECTORS
- The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this circuit.
- Wiggle the wires while checking for shorted and open circuits.
- With the scan tool, check the Event Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the C635 DDCT TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Test Complete.
