The failure is detected if the driveline speed is equal to zero for a calibrated amount of time.
The absolute value of the difference between the calculated driveline speed and the estimated driveline speed based upon the odd/even clutch speed divided by the gear ratio is greater than a threshold.
The absolute value of the difference between the calculated driveline speed and the estimated driveline speed based upon the engine speed divided by the gear ratio is greater than a threshold.
