Shaft, Output, 1ST, 3RD, And 6TH: Disassembly: Disassembly

NOTE:

The thread on the retention bolt is left handed. Do not reuse the bolt.

Remove the left hand thread retainer (1). Discard the bolt.

Remove the bearing (1) and the first gear (2) using (special tool #8254, Installer, Grommet) (3) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) (4).

Remove the first gear needle bearing (1).

Remove the third gear, third gear synchronizer and retainer (1) from the shaft using (special tool #8254, Installer, Grommet) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear).

Remove the needle bearing (1).

Remove the parking pawl sprag (1) using (special tool #8254, Installer, Grommet) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear).
