NOTE:

Typical Cylinder Head shown in illustration.

Check for cylinder head warping with a straight edge (2) and feeler gauge (1).
Cylinder head must be flat within specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove carbon and varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
Inspect the following components and verify that they are within specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .

- Valve Seats
- Valve Guides
- Valves
