Diagnostic Test

- CHECK THE INTAKE SYSTEM
- Visually inspect the entire intake system, including the all hoses and clamps for any signs of a leak.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair the as necessary.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 2
- Visually inspect the entire intake system, including the all hoses and clamps for any signs of a leak.
- CHECK THE MAP SENSOR
- Turn the ignition off.
- Replace the MAP Sensor in accordance with the service information.
- Turn the ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Leave the ignition on for up to five minutes.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
