A blower motor resistor (1) is used on this model when equipped with the Manual Temperature Control (MTC) heating and A/C system. Models equipped with the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system use a power module, instead of a resistor Blower Motor Power Module - Description.

The blower motor resistor consists of a molded plastic housing with an integral wire connector receptacle (3) and resistors contained within a metal heat sink (2). The blower motor resistor can be accessed for service by removing the glove box.
