Seat Back - Disassembly

DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: Passenger seat shown. Driver seat similar.





1. Remove the seat back frame, cushion and cover as an assembly from the front seat Seat Back - Removal.
2. Remove the head restraint (1) from the seat back. Press the release tab on the two head restraint sleeves (2 and 3) and pull the head restraint straight upward.






NOTE: Typical seat back and head restraint sleeves shown.

3. Unzip the rear of the seat back cover to gain access to the head restraint sleeves (1).
4. Using a small flat bladed tool (4) or equivalent, release the head restraint sleeve retaining tabs through the openings (2) in the seat back frame.
5. Using a soft hammer (3) or equivalent, remove the head restraint sleeves.





6. Remove the seat back cover and cushion from the seat back frame.
7. Remove the hog rings (2) that secure the seat back cover (1) to the seat back cushion (3) and remove the cover.
8. If necessary, remove and discard the heated seat pad from the seat back cushion Heater Pad - Removal.
9. If necessary, remove the air bag from the seat back frame Seat Air Bag - Removal.
