P060C-INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE MAIN PROCESSOR PERFORMANCE

Theory of Operation

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) performs basic system checks to ensure proper controller operation.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
Internal checksum for software failed, does not match calculated value. One trip fault, three good trips to clear.

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

NOTE: Diagnose any repair and low system voltage DTCs before proceeding with test.

The Powertrain Control Module is reporting internal errors, view repair to continue.

Repair

- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module. PCM/ECM Reprogramming.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.
