Rear Disc Brake Pads: Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure rear brake caliper-to-adapter sliding surfaces are coated with multipurpose grease before installing rear brake caliper. If original rear disc brake pads are being installed, ensure pads are installed in original location.
- If installing NEW rear disc brake pads, ensure piston on rear brake caliper is fully retracted into piston bore. Ensure rear brake caliper-to-adapter guide pin bolts are not cross-threaded. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Pump brake pedal several times until brake pedal is firm. Road test vehicle and apply brakes several times to seat rear disc brake pads.
