Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal: Removal

  1. Remove transaxle/transmission. See the TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - M/T article or see the TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - A/T article in the appropriate TRANS SERVICE section.
  2. Remove flywheel or drive plate. Remove rear main oil seal case and gasket from rear of cylinder block. Remove oil separator and oil seal from seal case.
