Valve Guides
- Check valve stem oil clearance. Ensure valve stem diameter is within specification. Replace valve guide with oversize valve guide if clearance exceeds specification. See CYLINDER HEAD table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
- Oversize valve guides are available in .002" (.05 mm), .010" (.25 mm) and .020" (.50 mm) oversize. A replacement procedure is not available from manufacturer at time of publication. The cylinder head must be reworked to the proper dimension for oversize valve guide installation. See the VALVE GUIDE REWORK DIMENSIONS table.
