Water Pump: Removal

  1. Remove the cover located below the engine. Drain cooling system. Remove both timing belts and front crankshaft sprocket. See TIMING BELTS .
  2. Remove alternator brace. Remove water pump bolts. Note bolt length and location. Remove water pump and gasket. Remove "O" ring from coolant inlet pipe.
CAUTION: Install longest water pump bolt at alternator brace position.
