Silent Shafts & Bearings: Installation

  1. Coat outside of all bearings and cylinder block bore with engine oil. To install left rear silent shaft bearing, use Bearing Installer (MD998373) and Guide Plate (MD998374). See Fig 1. Install bearing in cylinder block.
  2. To install right rear and front bearings, use Bearing Installer (MD998373). See Fig 1. Install bearings in cylinder block. Ensure bearing oil hole and cylinder block oil hole are aligned. Install balance shafts in original locations.
