Exhaust Manifold: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove condenser fan motor assembly (A/C-equipped models). Disconnect oxygen sensor connector. Install Oxygen Sensor Remover/Installer (MD998703) over oxygen sensor. Place wrench on oxygen sensor remover/installer and remove oxygen sensor from manifold.
  2. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold flange. Remove exhaust manifold cover and brackets from exhaust manifold. Remove exhaust manifold bolts/nuts. Remove exhaust manifold and gasket.
