Rear Brake Caliper, Pads & Rotor: Installation

  1. Clean caliper piston-to-pad contact area. Seat caliper piston in caliper by rotating piston until seated using Piston Wrench (MB990652). Align caliper piston stopper grooves with projection on pad.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten caliper guide pin, lock pin and wheel lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
  3. Pump brake pedal until firm. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Check parking brake adjustment. See PARKING/EMERGENCY BRAKE under ADJUSTMENTS.
