Rear Brake Caliper, Pads & Rotor: Inspection

Replace pads if thickness is less than .08" (2 mm). Measure rotor thickness in 4 or more locations. Replace rotor and pads if rotor thickness is less than .331" (8.41 mm).
To measure rotor runout, tighten rotor to hub with lug nuts. Measure rotor runout at approximately .2" (5 mm) from outer circumference of rotor. If runout is .003" (.08 mm) or more, change phase of rotor and hub (remove rotor and install with studs in different rotor holes as before). Remeasure runout. If changing phase of rotor and hub does not eliminate runout, replace rotor.
