Brake Pedal Released

  1. Measure brake pedal height between pedal pad (foot contact) and floor. Brake pedal height should be 6.9-7.1" (176-181 mm). To adjust, disconnect stoplight switch connector. Loosen stoplight switch lock nut. Rotate stoplight switch counterclockwise until it no longer contacts brake pedal arm.
  2. Loosen brake pedal rod lock nut. Using pliers, turn brake pedal rod until brake pedal height is as specified (to increase pedal height, turn rod clockwise as viewed from driver's seat). Tighten brake pedal rod lock nut. Adjust stoplight switch. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH under ADJUSTMENTS.
