Resistance Test

Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between the fuel gauge terminal and the ground terminal with the float at points "F" and "E". Refer to FUEL SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE  . Also, see Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Ensure resistance changes smoothly when float arm is moved slowly between points "F" and "E". Replace sending unit if readings are not as specified.
