Intake Manifold: Removal
- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Drain cooling system. Remove or disconnect all control cables, electrical connectors, coolant hoses, vacuum hoses, and support brackets from intake manifold and throttle body as necessary. See Fig 1 or Fig 2.
- Remove fuel supply and return lines from fuel rail. Remove fuel rail with fuel injectors and pressure regulator attached. Ensure fuel injectors do not fall from fuel rail as it is removed.
- Remove thermostat housing. Remove EGR valve (if equipped). Remove intake manifold and gasket. If necessary, separate throttle body from intake manifold.
