Installation (1.8L)

  1. Lubricate camshaft lobes and camshaft bearing journals. Install camshaft into cylinder head.
  2. Ensure rocker arms are installed in original location. Tighten camshaft bearing cap bolts to specification. See appropriate table in TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Coat lip of camshaft oil seal with oil. Install seal into cylinder head using Seal Installer (MD998713-01). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
