Removal (Precis)

  1. Remove timing belt and camshaft sprocket. See TIMING BELT . Remove rocker arms and shafts. See ROCKER ARM & VALVE LASH ADJUSTER .
  2. Remove camshaft thrust case retaining bolt. See Fig 1. Remove rear cover, gasket, thrust plate bolt, thrust plate, camshaft thrust case, camshaft, and oil seal from cylinder head.
