Installation (Precis)

  1. Install camshaft thrust case. Threaded hole should face up toward top of cylinder head, and align with bolt opening of cylinder head. Install thrust case retaining bolt.
  2. Install camshaft. Coat camshaft seal contact surface with engine oil. Using Seal Installer (MD998306), install oil seal into cylinder head. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Adjust valve clearance. See VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS.
