Brake Indicator Light Stays On Test
- Ensure ignition switch is in RUN position. Disconnect brake warning switch connector on proportioning valve. If indicator light goes out, check brake system for hydraulic problem. If no problem found with brake system, replace brake warning switch.
- If indicator light stays on after disconnecting switch, disconnect parking brake switch connector. If indicator light goes out, adjust or replace parking brake switch. If indicator light stays on, repair short to ground in wiring circuit between parking brake switch and instrument cluster connector.
