Ignition Switch In Run Position

  1. Inspect fuses No. 8 and 19 (without passive restraint) and fuse No. 2 (with passive restraint). If fuse is blown, check for an open circuit and replace. If fuse is okay, go to step 2).
  2. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between terminal No. 15 of trip computer connector and ground. If continuity is present, circuit is okay. Go to step 3). If continuity is not present, repair open circuit between terminal No. 15 and ground of connector "A". See Figure .
  3. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Check for battery voltage at terminals No. 13 and 14 of trip computer connector. If battery voltage is not present, repair open circuit between fuse block and terminals No. 13 and 14.
  4. If battery voltage is present but instrument panel illumination lights are on with no display, replace trip computer. If information displayed is incorrect, perform TRIP COMPUTER SELF-DIAGNOSTICS  . If system is not okay after performing self-diagnostic test, replace trip computer.
