Removal & Installation: Speedometer: Removal

Remove cluster assembly. Remove control switch panel. Remove lens screws and lens. Remove screws retaining Black mask and remove mask.
Remove all screws and nuts retaining gauge and dial assemblies. Remove gauge and dial assemblies from cluster. When removing speedometer assembly, grasp pointer hub and slowly rotate pointer assembly clockwise and counterclockwise until pointer contacts trip reset shaft, while gently pulling upward on hub away from dial surface. See Fig 1 -Fig 4 .

Repeat this procedure approximately 5 to 15 times until pointer assembly lifts off the trip reset shaft. Remove screws and separate speedometer from faceplate.
