Silent Shafts & Bearings: Installation

  1. Coat outside of all bearings and cylinder block bore with engine oil. To install left rear silent shaft bearing, use Bearing Installer (MD998373) and Guide Plate (MD998374) and install bearing in cylinder block. See Fig 1 .
    NOTE: Left rear bearing does not contain oil holes while all others contain oil holes.
  2. To install right rear and front bearings, use Bearing Installer (MD998373) and install bearing in cylinder block. See Fig 1 . Ensure bearing oil hole and cylinder block oil hole are aligned. Install balance shafts in original location.
