Cylinder Block

  1. Cylinder bore measurements should be taken at .47" (11.9 mm) below top surface of cylinder bore, middle of bore and .47" (11.9 mm) from bottom of cylinder bore.
  2. Check cylinder block deck surface for warpage. Resurface cylinder block if warpage exceeds specification. See ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS tables at end of article. DO NOT  grind more than .008" (.20 mm) total from surface of cylinder head and deck surface of cylinder block. Ensure minimum deck height is within specification.
