Water Pump: Removal

  1. Remove cover located below the engine. Drain cooling system. Remove both timing belts and front crankshaft sprocket. See TIMING BELT in this article.
  2. Remove alternator brace. Remove water pump bolts. Note length and location. Remove water pump and gasket. Remove "O" ring from coolant inlet pipe.
