Disassembly (Colt Vista)

  1. With rack and pinion assembly mounted in soft-jawed vise, remove tie rod ends, boot clamps and rubber boots. Using a chisel, remove tie rod tab washer. Remove tie rod assemblies.
  2. Remove adjusting plug lock nut. Using Socket (MB990607-A), remove adjusting plug. Remove plunger spring, rubber cushion and support yoke.
