Instrument Panel Fuel Gauge Resistance Test
NOTE:
The following test must be completed with instrument panel cluster removed. See appropriate R & I in this article. Measurements are all made with an ohmmeter. If resistance is extremely low, there may be a short in the coil. If resistance is extremely high, there may be a broken wire or similar problem in the gauge.
- Measure resistance between terminals as specified in the table. See FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS . If resistance readings do not conform to specifications, replace fuel gauge.
