Removal (Colt Vista 4WD & 1990 Colt Wagon 4WD)

  1. Remove engine and transaxle as a unit for transaxle and clutch service. See appropriate article in the ENGINE section.
  2. After engine/transaxle assembly has been removed, remove vacuum tank assembly from transaxle case. Support transaxle and remove transaxle-to-engine bolts. Separate transaxle from engine.
  3. Insert a clutch disc guide through clutch disc to prevent it from dropping. Diagonally loosen pressure plate bolts to avoid bending pressure plate flange during removal. Remove pressure plate and clutch disc. See Figure .
